Staying Positive

One of the most difficult things to do, it to stay positive. Life as a college kid is tough, there's no doubting that! From clubs, relationships, and drama you feel like you're constantly being pulled down. Then, on top of that, they want you to go to class, study, and do homework. So. Much. Stress. I can totally relate.
This year, my classes are crazy hard! Sometimes, I feel overwhelmed! I've had so many of those days where I just want to crawl up in a ball under my covers and pretend I'm not actually a college student.
From this, I learned that I cannot do college on my own. It doesn't mean that I'm giving up. It means the exact opposite! Now, this doesn't mean to just pray and hope that God makes some magic happen. It means that you have to do your best, but don't sweat it too much! God is going to take care of it.
D O N ' T W O R R Y
He's got this. 1 Peter 5:7 says clearly, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.So, if we have nothing to worry about, what not stay positive?

God loves us, He's in control, AND he's even taking on our burdens so we don't have to.

Life's good with God <><

6.9 Billion Works of Art

Approximately, there are 6.9 billion people in this world. Crazy to imagine right? Sometimes I feel lost at my college which has less than 3,000 students. Only about 1,400 of them go to my campus and live there, and yet sometimes I feel just like a shadow. Fortunately, this is not the case. I always have one person that notices and loves me each and everyday. He knows my thoughts, my actions, even the amount of hair on my head. Luke 12:7 states, “Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
God knows us and loves us because He created us. Don’t you feel proud when you draw, paint, or create something and it’s awesome? Well, so does He. Genesis 5:-12 says, “This is the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him;
Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.” We are God’s holy and special creation. He makes us and sets a plan for our lives that will help form and shape us into followers of His Son, Jesus Christ. Even before we are born, He knows us! With 6.9 billion people and a countless number or problems, God still takes the time to know and care for us. Insane, right? His endless love is given to everyone who receives it. So, next time you feel left out or lonely, remember the Almighty is still paying attention to you.
You’re loved.

Patience!

P R O V E R B S 1 5 : 1 8 "A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man man calms a quarrel." It's been a while again. College is stressful, but I'm slowly getting back into the routine. I'm learning a lot about patience! When you're with the same people all the time, you learn to love their quirks, and they learn to love theirs. It takes a while, but you get it eventually. Your computer crashes when you're trying to take an online quiz. You're running late to class and there's a million people in the hall. Your roommate comes back drunk and you have to play momma bear. You see the guy you like with someone you can't stand, or even worse, your best friend. In short, stuff happens! Life isn't all the amazing things that God promises us. Truth is, its the bad things that help us appreciate the amazing things that God provides. So, how do you deal with what's happening until all that good stuff comes around? Patience! It is the state of endurance under difficult circumstances, which can mean persevering in the face of delay or provocation without acting on annoyance/anger in a negative way; or exhibiting forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. Patience is the level of endurance one's character can take before negativity <-- that's according to wikipedia! When the bad stuff happens, pray, be patient, and show the whole world around you what a difference it means to have God's love residing within you. Let me make this personal, I recently picked up guitar. I'll be honest, I stink! People constantly ask me to play something. I'm embarrassed and frustrated when I don't do well. This is where patience comes in. I'm not God, I can't create the universe in 7 days. Heck, I can't even play guitar decently in 7 weeks. But hey, I'll get there eventually, and so will you :)
